The place was exceptionally clean and simply stunning, had well-trained and hard-working staff in the restaurant with excellent service. The room was pet-friendly and contemporary with a special view over the bay. Full-length windows and coffee were appreciated.

Request a room with a sea view for a memorable experience, especially during sunrise.

Great styled Art Deco-Hotel with unbelievable many, loving and smart details - really unique and worth seeing! Great view from the rooms with sea view. Rooms spacious, modern and cosy.
Room on the front side (without sea view) with view to the parking lot and a busy street - therefore relatively loud. The breakfast was alright, but the night porter gave us a wrong time information on arrival at 23.00 o'clock - so we had to beg for breakfast.

Our stay was a romantic anniversary weekend and it couldn't have been better. We spent quite some time searching for the loo and were in fits when we did - excellent decor, excellent location, excellent staff (both friendly and professional), excellent food and we shall definitely be returning for a longer stay in the near future. Thank you for the opportunity of booking through your site, everything was so easy! Xx

It was a beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and the rooms very comfortable and the attention to detail was great. We had dinner in the restuaurant and we couldn't fault it, tasted great and decent portions.
Someone complained that our TV was too loud (twice) when it wasn't so either the walls are too thin or we were unfortunate with the people in the next room. The cooked breakfast was a disappointment, the mushroom on the plate was half a mushroom and the eggs had hard yolks, poached and fried which wasn't to our taste.

The hotel itself was art deco at its best. Very quirky and stylish. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Dorota who went out of her way to help, always with a smile. Finding the toilet in the room was a real surprise!!

The updating of the Midland is good, whilst still maintaining the ambience of the 30s style. The position is excellent, with access to the Lakes not far away. The views from the dining room mean a lingering meal is called for both at breakfast and evening meal times, and the staff respect this.
Don't expect 21st century comfort. The essence of the 30s is all about style and a lack of clutter. The room chairs are stylish but not meant for a lengthy relax. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon meant that the hotel was busy and the car park crowded with non-residents, including children running about. The staff in the Rotunda Bar were not prompt in serving us. This meant that first impressions were not good, but once only residents were around the atmosphere changed for the better. A little more attention to the cleaning in the Rotunda, especially the stools and floor, is needed.

Staying at the midland was a good experience! The hotel has such a beautiful and quirky design-especially loved that moving wall for the bathroom door. The breakfast was fantastic, and the service was great. The staff even brought chessboards to our room, a lovely touch. I appreciate how close it is to urban splash, too.
